‘We Ain’t Playing’ – RedState

War isn’t just about bullets and bombs, at least, not in this modern era. It’s also about messaging. Call it that, call it propaganda, call it the people’s right to know, but there’s always plenty of rhetoric kicked around by both sides in any contest of arms. Operation Epic Fury, or as our Israeli allies are calling it, Operation Roaring Lion, is no exception.

Here’s the problem the dying regime in Iran has: They are, as they always have, allowing their mouths to write checks their butts can’t cash, and that’s never been more apparent than it is now, with their military assets, government, and leadership being systematically disassembled by American and Israeli explosives.

On Tuesday, President Trump took to his Truth Social platform to note that now Iran’s surviving leadership is suddenly indicating they’re open to a deal – now that they are so visibly and obviously getting their teeth kicked in. President Trump’s reply was brief and to the point

The president writes:

Their air defense, Air Force, Navy, and Leadership is gone. They want to talk. I said “Too Late!”

It’s about 47 years too late, but at least it’s happening now.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth weighed in as well, lauding CENTCOM’s capabilities on the hunt:

One response to Secretary Hegseth is worth noting:

That’s as stark a difference in leadership, in military science, in the practice of arms, as one is ever likely to find. Under the Obama and Biden administrations, the military was a jobs program for every weirdo and nutbar who wanted government-funded “gender-affirming” care. That has all changed now.

One of my favorite quotes about military matters, one I’ve repeated many times here and no doubt will again, is generally attributed to the ancient Greek Heraclites of Ephesus

Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn’t even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back.

The current administration has made the effort to trim away the chaff. The ten are gone. The eighty have been cut back. The War Department has, in a remarkably short time, built a force of fighters and warriors, and now we see how that works out. For Iran, it’s not working out so well. The messaging here is stark and simple: “Cross us, and we will come for you.” It’s a message Thomas Jefferson, who sent the Navy and Marines after the Barbary pirates, would have understood.

That’s CENTCOM’s mission now, and they are handling it like warriors. No more talk. No more negotiations. The blood-wind calls. It’s time to hunt.

Editor’s Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
