How the Amazing Rescue of Two American Airmen Unfolded
According to the Iranians, having Americans come into your crib, set up shop, rescue downed aircrew, kill your thugs, and blow up your stuff is a victory. So happy “We Beat the Great Satan” day to all of you.

Bearing Arms — Hysteria Reigns Following Hegseth’s Announcement
The idea of not trusting our men and women in uniform is hardly new. It’s just disgusting that they’re trying to frame this as concern for them, rather than their innate distrust of anyone who loves their country enough to join.
Hot Air — Rescue of F-15 WSO Reveals HUGE Cultural Divide Between Left and Right, Europe and America
These people really think that rescuing our WSO was humiliating. The people who brought you Vichy France, rape gangs in Britain, argue for decarceration and open borders, and cut off kids’ genitals, think we are ashamed?
PJ Media — Macron’s Latest Comments Show France Hasn’t Learned a Thing
The history is there for anybody willing to look. The United States stepped in when France needed help more than once, a reality that doesn’t vanish because it makes some leaders uncomfortable. Macron can dress up his argument any way he wants, but the results look the same.
France reaches for independence while standing on a foundation built by someone else.
Townhall — Look at CNN’s Scott Jennings’ Face When an Ex-Obama Staffer Made This Point About Iran
Do you think the Iranians would rather have their entire navy back or their memes?” asked Jennings. “I mean come on! We have destroyed 13,000 military targets, and they have memes?”
Twitchy — Apparently Gavin Newsom and Calif’s High Speed Rail Boondoggle Hasn’t Been Boondoggle-y Enough
As you might have guessed, those who are still behind this sham have spotted the problem: They haven’t been given enough taxpayer money:

Today on Capitol Hill…
The critters are out for another week, though there will be some pro forma sessions and, no doubt, continued wrangling over the DHS funding issue. We’ll keep you posted on any progress.

We had a few notable court decisions on Friday/over the weekend, including:

- ↔️ In Learning Resources v. Trump (tariffs), Judge Rudolph Contreras (D.C.) DISMISSES case for lack of jurisdiction (pursuant to SCOTUS ruling).
- ✅ In City of St. Paul, MN v. Wright (termination of DOE grants), Judge Amit Mehta (D.C.) DENIES plaintiffs’ request for permanent [prospective] injunctive relief.
(To be fair, those “wins” above are small, procedural and/or temporary wins, but gotta take ’em where we find ’em.)

MORNING MUSING
Okay — I admit it, I’m a total homer when it comes to the U.S. I’m a firm believer in American exceptionalism. My heart fills with pride, and I get choked up during the climactic victory scenes in movies like “Top Gun” and “Top Gun: Maverick,” “Independence Day,” and “Armageddon.”
But those are just movies.
We’ve seen that exceptionalism writ large — for real — in the past few days between the Artemis II mission and the amazing rescue of our downed airmen.
Like the song says, I am proud to be an American. Not sorry.
