Amazon removes novel illustrating the perils of mass migration * WorldNetDaily * by Ron Strom

A French author’s 1973 novel about immigrants overrunning Western civilization in Europe, a work cited in an article critical of Vice President JD Vance, has been deemed too offensive for mega-bookseller Amazon, which has removed the book from its site.

“The Camp of the Saints,” by explorer Jean Raspail, tells of millions of migrants from Africa and Asia sailing to Europe, which then buckles under the strain. Not the Bee points out the migrants set up their own governments, murder and oppress white European natives and reshape Western civilization according to their own cultural norms.

Vauban Books, which currently distributes an English-language version of the book, issued a statement on X about the book ban.

“Our edition of the book was first listed for sale on Amazon in July 2025. In the eight months since, Amazon has sold roughly 20,000 paperback copies of it. Its customers appear to have appreciated the novel, giving it an average rating of 4.8 stars at the time of the listing’s deletion. The book has also been extensively reviewed in the American and international press. Its reviewers have been unanimous in their assessment of its abiding importance and relevance to contemporary debates.

“While we cannot say for certain has taken this extraordinary step, it may be no coincidence that the listing was removed one day after New York Magazine published a critical article on Vice President Vance that referenced the book.”

The company says Amazon informed it that the book violates its “offensive content” policy. Both the paperback and hardcover now are unavailable at Amazon, though Vauban Books provides a link where one can purchase a copy.

The most quoted passage from the “Camp of the Saints” has been used frequently by opponents of mass migration:

“Your universe has no meaning to them. They will not try to understand. They will be tired, they will be cold. They will make a fire with your beautiful oak door.”

Will Chamberlain remarked on X: “This should be a national scandal. You can buy Mein Kampf on Amazon but not an anti-immigration novel?”
