Earlier, RedState reported on how GOP Rep. Brandon Gill (TX-26) masterfully confronted an abortion advocate Tuesday during a House hearing on the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act by not only asking her what her favorite abortion procedure was but also describing them in gruesome detail so others watching and listening to the hearing would understand exactly what was being discussed.
The more the Democrat witness, American University Washington College of Law Professor Jessica Waters, kept trying to avoid the question and pivot, the more Gill pressed her on where she stood on it. She was so evasive on it that at one point, Gill remarked that “I wouldn’t want to talk about this either if I were you, because it’s barbaric and evil.”
Video of the exchange went viral, as Gill’s clips often do. But it was a response from one of his Democrat colleagues on X that really rubbed women the wrong way.

Rep. Shri Thanedar (MI-10), one of the more obnoxious Democrats in the House of Representatives, saw Gill’s tweet and became fauxfended that his Republican colleague made the case so well simply by describing in gruesome detail what the procedures entailed.
Instead of trying to counter the argument, Thanedar defaulted to the tiresome War on Women card that Democrats love to trot out when they can’t defend the supposed merits of their positions on the issue:
Remember folks, Republicans are NOT the party of creepy men trying to intrude their way into women’s private business, they just want to interrogate you about your favorite abortion method at a national congressional hearing.
We’ll get to Gill’s response in a minute, but first, take a look at the fed-up women who let Thanedar have it:
They’re definitely not the party that wants creepy men to be celebrated for doing creepy things in women’s spaces while dressed in women’s clothes.
That would be democrats. https://t.co/K7CJhxOHXv

Yeah, we know Republicans aren’t the party of creepy men intruding into our business. That’s clearly the Democrat platform. pic.twitter.com/YxkCZ6GBFc

Coming from the party, who wants to put grown men in women’s restrooms and sports to flaunt their private parts and sexually assault young girls and women give it a rest creep

If you’re so worried about women, try telling your Democrat colleges to stop assaulting them.

Let me guess you don’t like hearing it either bc those are facts if you’re so proud of your taglines then you should not put your head down or turn away when you’re told the procedure and this is coming from people who just told me a man is a woman and they can have abortions too

If abortion is NBD and healthcare then why can’t we discuss abortion methods https://t.co/wiZXC2Aujo

Something else that is so infuriating to me about these types of reactions from Democrats is that they imply that all women agree on the issue of abortion when nothing could be further from the truth, and I know I’m not the only woman who HIGHLY resents it when Democrats like Thanedar pretend to be speaking on my behalf. It’s insulting, honestly, and if Democrats had any shame… well, they don’t have any, so no reason to go any further on that point.
Gill’s response was to inquire as to what Thanedar’s favorite abortion procedure was. And to say he only made it worse for himself would be an understatement:
My favorite kind of abortion is the kind that’s safe, legal, accessible, and none of your damn business to regulate.
And no amount of fearmongering by describing what goes on to a half-ounce fetus with no consciousness, self-awareness, or feeling of pain is going to change that. https://t.co/qi8DpP9IXy

Absolutely ghoulish, and as a friendly reminder, some of the procedures Gill described are performed on unborn babies who are much further along than that. The fact that Thanedar conveniently left that out should surprise no one and is just more proof that Democrats would prefer people be left in the dark on this issue and the cruel reality of what happens behind the curtain.
As another reminder, this is the same guy who reportedly abandoned animals that were used in an animal testing company he owned:
Shri IS creepy
“In 2010, roughly 170 dogs and monkeys were rescued from an abandoned New Jersey pharmaceutical testing lab owned by Congressman Shri Thanedar. Reports alleged neglect, including animals locked in cages without proper care after the company went into bankruptcy.”

Yeah, I’ll take lectures on moral standards from this clown on like the 12th of never.
Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
