PALM BEACH, Florida – Will the next White House press secretary really be the head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship?

President Donald Trump on Saturday went public with his next choice for his top spokesperson, after Katie Zacharia stepped down in October after serving only five days on the job. She had replaced Karoline Leavitt who resigned to spend more time with her young children.

“I am pleased to announce that the Great Dana White, a violent Fighter and Warrior, has been offered the job of Press Secretary of the United States,” Trump said Saturday on Truth Social.

“I have requested that he bring with him assistants, even though some are not from our Country, of Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Kayla Harris.

“We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left. Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job!”

In response to Trump’s offer, White told reporters in London on Saturday he was flying back to America to discuss the matter with the president.

“I’m flying to Washington, D.C., right now,” White said.

A reporter asked: “You do a lot. How do you believe you could balance what you do at the moment alongside that?”

“Yeah, I got a lot of jobs already,” White responded with a laugh.

When asked about conversations he’s had with the president, White only said: “I’m going to meet with him. We have a meeting on Monday, so I’m sure we’ll have a lot to talk about after that.”

White also posted an image of himself at the White House podium, with a caption indicating: “On to the next chapter.”

Steven Cheung, the White House director of communications, reposted Trump’s message, saying: “Hell yeah! Do it, DanaWhite. It’ll just be like old times!”

CNN reported: “A source familiar with the matter says the Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO declined the unorthodox idea.”

Journalist Benny Johnson of “The Benny Show” reacted to the developments, saying: “You know, you might as well just go for broke if you’re President Trump. It’s gonna be your last two years as president. Who knows what can happen? But it certainly is time limited. Tick tock around the clock.

“And I suppose if you’re gonna announce a press secretary, you might as well go with the guy who’s better at press conferences than any human being alive.”

“I’m pretty sure this is in jest. But at this point, who knows to be quite honest with you?”
