The fake news was at it again Sunday, as the New York Times, the Associated Press, CNN, the BBC and other various outlets reported that Israeli forces opened fire on innocent Palestinians, killing dozens and injuring hundreds. They simply took the word of Hamas, which is never a smart thing to do.
Why? Because the reports were false. RedState’s Bonchie summed it up:
By the next day, it was made clear that not only was there no bombing by Israel (a Palestinian Jihad rocket had fallen short in an adjoining parking lot), but that the actual death toll was around 25 people. Yet, CNN, the AP, Fox News, and the rest continue to cite the “Gaza Health Ministry” despite its long history of lying to prop up Hamas. What an absolute disgrace the press is.
Now U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee is demanding formal retractions:
US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee releases a “Statement of Media Misinformation on Gaza,” claiming that “The efforts of GHF (Gaza Humanitarian Foundation) have resulted in over 5 million meals to civilians without incident,” while demanding an “immediate retraction of the… pic.twitter.com/5FKeZeRAOy

Huckabee wants the outlets to admit their sins:
“Reckless and irresponsible reporting by major U.S. news outlets are contributing to the antisemitic climate that has resulted in the murder of two young people at an Israeli Embassy event in Washington last month and the attempted murder and terror attack on a group of pro-Israel demonstrators in Colorado on Sunday.
“Without verification of any source other than Hamas and its collaborators, the New York Times, CNN, and Associated Press reported that a number of people seeking to receive humanitarian food boxes from the Gaza Humanitarian Fund were shot or killed by the Israeli Defense Forces. These reports were FALSE.”
He added that drone footage and first-hand accounts clearly showed that no “massacre” occurred, and that the fake news was simply relying on spoon-fed information from the Gaza Health Ministry. Take it down, he demanded:
We are demanding an immediate retraction of the lies and are appealing to all media sources to act with objective professionalism to cover actual events instead of being a partner of terrorism by blindly following Hamas news releases.
Outspoken American billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman agreed:
.@JeffBezos this false story was debunked hours ago. How can the @washingtonpost report it as true? This is worthy of an internal investigation. https://t.co/zA3bT52UB3

If there’s anything we’ve learned over the last many years, it’s that we can’t let the corrupt press get away with it—they must be called out each and every time they report things that aren’t true or simply slant the narrative toward their progressive worldview. Huckabee is right to call them out, but the AP, CNN and The New York Times have proven over and over again that they don’t actually care about the truth.
The narrative is all that matters to them.
Editor’s Note: The mainstream media continues to deflect, gaslight, spin, and lie.
