Columnist breaks down in tears on-air over ICE shooting * WorldNetDaily * by Nicole Silverio, Daily Caller News Foundation

MS NOW columnist Philip Bump broke down crying on-air Thursday while talking about the image of stuffed animals in the glove compartment of Renee Nicole Good’s vehicle.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent shot Good in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Wednesday when she began driving her car after blocking the road during an operation. Bump said on “Chris Jansing Reports” that thinking about Good’s 6-year-old child had made him very emotional, causing him to cry during the segment.

“Look what you did to me, Chris [Jansing] … Seeing the image of those stuffed animals in the glove compartment of her car, [it’s] really emotional for me and you know, what I take away from this is, for me, that’s the thing that stands out,” Bump said. “That this was a family that could’ve been like mine and there are a lot of situations, a lot of incidents that have involved ICE, involved the government over the course of the past 13 months that there are residents of other families in similar ways. And for me, it’s hard to think about that family being affected in this way.”

Eyewitnesses shared a photograph of the glove compartment, which had been filled with several stuffed animals that are assumed to belong to her children.

Video of the incident shows at least four ICE agents walking up to Good’s maroon Honda SUV, where one demanded that she exit the vehicle. The vehicle then backed up slightly and moved forward near the officer who fired several shots at the vehicle, which instantly killed Good.

President Donald Trump’s administration has maintained that the officer acted in self-defense, claiming that Good attempted to hit the agent with her car. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem said on Wednesday that the officer was the victim of a vehicle attack in June, where an anti-ICE rioter reportedly rammed and dragged him with a car.

Trump stated on Truth Social that Good was “very disorderly” and blamed the “Radical Left” for “threatening” and “targeting” federal law enforcement.

Democrats disputed the administration’s claims, saying that officers had no justification to use deadly force. Democratic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey called on ICE to “get the f*ck out” of his city, while Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz appeared to imply that Minnesota was at war with the federal government.
