The group in charge of this year’s celebration of America’s 250th birthday have angered many online by highlighting the so-called “Four Freedoms” touted by President Franklin Roosevelt.

Not the Bee points out that the third of the four ideals, “freedom from want,” is straight out of the Marxist/communist handbook.

Here is the X post from the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission that has people up in arms:

Besides “freedom from want,” the others are freedom of worship, freedom of speech and freedom from fear.

Notes NTB: “Yes, the ‘freedom from want’ … is pulled straight out of Soviet propaganda. …

“People weren’t happy with America250 for honoring our Stalin-loving former president’s commie rhetoric.”

Other posters called on President Trump to replace the head of the commission.

Some noted that FDR interned thousands of Americans during World War II based on their heritage.

Brianna Lyman posted to X: “Making up a right like ‘freedom from want,’ and then pretending this is a core American value, is shameless revisionist history.
