On November 22, the modern Luddites and the international grifters concluded their COP30 meeting in Belém, Brazil, for the Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), a meeting held annually. They left their 18-day cocktail party with no big end-of-session pronouncements that would justify their holding another elitist United Nations-sponsored climate confab, the entire 30-year-long history of which has been nothing more than a load of hot air, hysterical global warming screed preached, with little to show as accomplishments.
An energetic promoter of climate hysteria, The New York Times (NYT), in its November 23 conference report on shortcomings of conference objectives, wrote about “a watered-down resolution that made no direct mention of fossil fuels” and which was “roundly criticized by diplomats as being insufficient,” a result of “a marathon series of Friday night meetings [that] ultimately salvaged the meeting from total collapse.”
If the NYT had not been ideologically committed to advancing the UN’s climate change agenda, its reporters would have written about how astonishing it is that the series of conferences has lasted for 30 years, based on readily available, credible contrarian information that undermined its concern and showed its efforts to be complete failures. Had they looked, NYT reporters have available reliable sources showing that climate change is historically a naturally recurring event, that projections of catastrophic man-made global warming are based on faulty science, that the United Nations interventions in solving world problems are unreliable and self-serving. In the end, climate cronies and charlatans are always available to use misinformation to promote their own power, ideologies, and wealth.

Ice-core samples from Greenland have provided researchers with comparable temperature and CO2 data that have been scientifically accepted to create accurate profiles over the past tens of thousands of years. In the 10,000 years since the last Great Ice Age ended, the planet has experienced eight warming and cooling cycles, each lasting from 500 to 800 years. Earth is currently in a warming cycle that began during the coldest temperatures of the Little Ice Age.
Coincidentally with the rising temperature trend, the Industrial Revolution developed. Overaggressive scientists and observers incorrectly claimed that causal correlation existed between Earth’s temperature increases and atmospheric CO2 increases resulting from fossil fuel use. Strong causal correlation between rising temperatures and historic temperature trends is clear; however, no significant dependent correlation between these two variables has been scientifically proven. Indeed, throughout history, planetary warming has regularly preceded increased CO2 concentrations.
Al Gore used a non-reproducible, hysterical Hockey Stick temperature graph, from which the Little Ice Age was deleted, as his basic argument for his “An Inconvenient Truth” argument, which he then used to motivate Greta Thunberg and other Earth Day activists to get behind his lucrative green energy investments. Following the conference, instead of acknowledging that the climate crisis had died of its own false premises, Gore lamely blamed others in a statement, saying, “Petrostates and their allies are doing everything they can to stop the world from making progress on solving the climate crisis.”
Operating on other people’s money, United Nations bureaucrats became early supporters of any new Ponzi scheme to transfer wealth from the poor in industrialized nations to the global elites, bureaucrats, and corrupt governments in underdeveloped world’s countries, among which they laughingly count China as one. They created the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which they used to seize a ginned-up consensus on climate science. Since then, claiming a monopoly on officially sanctioned climate research, the IPCC has produced periodic reports adoringly and uncritically hyped by the mainstream media to justify radical policies.
Together with a sympathetic mainstream press, the UN and its fellow travelers have collaborated to censor any dissenting views.
Climate computer models, which never matched actual temperatures, forecast existential threats to continually plague human existence if the IPCC recommendations are not implemented. This corrupt system has supplied energy to the Thunberg activists, for elite university research grants, for the Chinese industrial policy to flood the market with cheap solar panels, batteries, EVs, and windmills, and for Western politicians to implement net-zero plans, undermining their economies.
COP30 concluded with only a whimper on November 22, but don’t expect The New York Times to report that global warming hysteria is over. Their reporters, editors, and most of the mainstream media have a long-term investment in the man-made global warming myth.
