Infamous LA Rioter Filmed Throwing Rocks Through ICE Windshields Has Been Identified – RedState

While the violence keeps escalating in Los Angeles, one rioter came to epitomize the chaos early on. Until now, he hadn’t been identified, but according to Attorney General Pam Bondi, that just changed.

For those unfamiliar with the viral video that sparked this manhunt, it shows an assailant in a motorcycle helmet throwing rocks into the windshields of ICE vehicles. One agent was injured during the attack, which occurred on Saturday morning. Astonishingly, some in the press tried to paint the attacker in a sympathetic light, describing him as a “demonstrator” and implying that placing him on the FBI Most Wanted List was an unfair escalation.

Speaking to Fox News, Bondi announced that the man’s name is “Reyes” and that a search warrant was being executed as she gave the announcement.

BONDI: I’m sorry, the federal officer had injured his hand. He was wearing a mask. The FBI has identified him. Bill Essayli, our incredibly U.S. attorney out there, working with ATF, DEA, and the FBI, have been doing a remarkable job. That guy has just been identified, and they are doing a search warrant on his house as we speak, and he has been identified.

See his face. He is going to be on, his name is Reyes, he is going to be on the most wanted list. You have broken the news, his face is out there right now. That’s him. He has been identified by great police work, by the FBI. So you can run, you can’t hide. We are coming after you federally. If you assault a police officer, if you rob a store, if you loot, if you spit on a police officer, we’re coming after you.

What exactly Reyes will be charged with when he’s caught wasn’t revealed by Bondi. Given how dangerous it is to throw large rocks through the windshield of a car traveling at high speeds, it’s possible attempted murder could be on the table, but we’ll have to wait and see how the DOJ wants to approach things. My assumption, and this is just an assumption, is that Bondi would not have revealed this news if there was any chance it could tip off Reyes, which leads me to believe an arrest is imminent.

This is a developing story, and RedState will provide updates as necessary.
