Jacob Frey Finally Reacts to Church Invasion, and Reminds Us Again Why ICE Surge Was Necessary – RedState

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey is just one Democrat, but he’s emblematic of a larger problem within his political party related to putting the interests of criminal illegal immigrants over American citizens, something we’ve repeatedly seen him do over the course of his time in public office.

As RedState reported, Frey has even gone so far as to routinely address the Somalians in Minnesota in their own language (as he did in his November reelection victory speech), fly their flag, gulp down food he clearly didn’t enjoy, and reassure them that he was on their side amid allegations (and in some cases, convictions) of widespread fraud among members of the tight-knit Somali community.

More recently, Frey shared a slickly produced video of himself pandering to the illegal immigrants in the Hispanic community during an appearance on a Hispanic radio program, where he spoke Spanish part of the time, hugged and held hands, and boasted about how the Minneapolis police department did not cooperate with ICE on immigration sweeps. For some reason, he ended up deleting the video from X, but we snagged it.

As we’ve also documented, the reaction from Minnesota Democrats to Sunday’s anti-ICE church invasion in St. Paul has been practically non-existent, outside of a belated, brief written statement issued by Gov. Tim Walz’s office (not Walz himself) over 24 hours after the disgusting incident.

But now, at long last, Frey has finally issued a statement on what happened at the church. And it wasn’t to condemn their actions, but to criticize the DOJ for arresting some of the alleged perps, including alleged organizer Nekima Levy Armstrong:

Incredibly, in another video, Frey boasted about what Minnesota was doing to “support our immigrant neighbors,” which included information systems that essentially are designed to help criminal illegals avoid detection by ICE:

Frey was immediately blasted on X:

And probably the most astute comment came from someone who reminded Frey that the people sitting in that church on Sunday whose children were terrified by what happened were members of his community, too. What about supporting them?

And the spirit animal for a lot of frustrated Americans right now also weighed in:

Frey excusing violence against ICE agents while decrying the arrest of agitators who forcibly interrupted a church worship service is yet another reminder about why the Trump administration surging DHS resources to Minnesota was critically important.
