Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker continues to thumb his nose at any attempt to improve conditions in his state — especially in violence-riddled Chicago — and will do anything to kneecap the policies of the duly elected president of the United States, Donald Trump.
The governor freaked out when Trump sent in a relatively small contingent of National Guardsmen to the Windy City in October after a particularly bloody weekend, and now he’s taken it a step further by signing into law HB 1312, a measure designed to make it even harder for United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to do its job.

Governor Pritzker just signed a law doubling down on sanctuary-city policies — blocking civil immigration arrests in courthouses, hospitals, schools, daycares, and other ‘sensitive locations,’ while giving immigrants the legal right to sue federal agents for alleged rights violations.
Meanwhile, Illinois taxpayers are footing the bill — for legal defenses, administrative costs, and emergency services — all while residents’ needs take a back seat. This is unfair, and it’s not sustainable.
The law will shield illegal immigrants from ICE near courthouses, hospitals, university campuses, and daycare centers. As the tweet above notes, it also gives people the right to sue officers if they believe their constitutional rights were violated.
It goes into effect immediately.

JB, like his California counterpart Gavin Newsom, continues to blast Trump and anyone who thinks illegal immigration is, in fact, illegal, while both ignore the fact that their own states are in decline and residents don’t feel safe (because they’re not). They continue to paint the president as a cold-hearted monster when he is just trying to clean up the massive mess left by sanctuary cities and Joe Biden’s “let everyone in!” immigration policies.
Pritzker:
“With my signature today, we are protecting people and institutions that belong here in Illinois. Dropping your kid off at day care, going to the doctor, or attending your classes should not be a life-altering task,” said Pritzker in a press release. “Illinois — in the face of cruelty and intimidation — has chosen solidarity and support. Donald Trump, [DHS Secretary] Kristi Noem, and [senior Border Patrol official] Gregory Bovino have tried to appeal to our lesser instincts. But the best of us are standing up to the worst of them.”
He puts on quite the high and mighty act, but he ignores the huge number of women and girls who were victims of sex trafficking as they made their way to Biden’s open border, the criminal illegals who have killed young victims like Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray, the truck drivers with commercial driver’s licenses that never should have been issued getting into horrific accidents… the list goes on.
GOP Rep. Mary Miller (IL-15) says the governor’s actions are a betrayal of the Prairie State:

It’s is a complete and total betrayal of the rule of law and every innocent victim in Illinois.

The White House had its own opinion of the matter:
“If Pritzker the Slob focused on fixing crime in his own state instead of defending criminal illegal aliens, Illinois residents would be much safer,” White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson in a statement to Fox News Digital. “Cracking down on crime and deporting dangerous criminal illegal aliens should not be a partisan issue, but Democrats suffering from TDS are trying to make it one, all at the expense of the Americans they are elected to serve.”
What Pritzker also forgets is the American people, who voted for this president in large part due to his vow to do something about the disaster Ole Joe left behind. Like Newsom, when JB uses the word “cruel” over and over, he is just describing himself.
Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left’s lies, new legislation wasn’t needed to secure our border, just a new president.
