Under the category of making lemonade out of lemons, Kristin Cabot, the woman famously found in the arms of her boss-not-husband on a kiss-cam image at a July Coldplay concert is scheduled to speak at a D.C. communications conference this spring.
The video of happy couple appearing on the big screen went viral and was fodder for everyone from professional online mockers to sermonizing pastors. Cabot had attended the Boston concert with some friends, including her boss, Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, who soon resigned in disgrace.
“Oh, look at these two,” the band’s lead singer Chris Martin joked to the crowd. “All right, c’mon, you’re OK. Oh, what? Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
Upon seeing themselves on the screen, Byron ducked behind a stadium seat, while Cabot, who was married with children, simply turned her back to the camera.
