Two hotels in St. Paul, Minnesota, reportedly canceled the reservations of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents on Sunday as the federal government continues to surge law-enforcement officers to the Twin Cities.
The hotels taking action against ICE are the St. Paul Downtown DoubleTree by Hilton and the the Intercontinental St. Paul.
Bill Melugin on Fox News reported: “I’m told multiple ICE agents with rooms booked at the St. Paul Downtown Doubletree by Hilton received this notice today that their rooms are being cancelled & the hotel will temporarily close ‘due to heightened public safety concerns in St. Paul.’
“I called the hotel & checked online & they are indeed not taking any bookings right now. They referred me to other hotels.”

“I’m told this also happened today at the Intercontinental St. Paul, with ICE agents with bookings there notified the hotel will be temporarily closing today due to the ongoing unrest in Minnesota. An agent who talked to the front desk manager there says he was told it was done to protect staff because they have been getting threats from unknown individuals for lodging DHS agents.”
Daily Caller News Foundation reporters Jorge Ventura confirmed on the ground the DoubleTree hotel was closing. However, guests besides the federal agents are allowed to stay and finish out their reservations.

Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino appeared on Fox News’ “Big Weekend Show” on Sunday to say “well over a dozen agents” by the hotels’ action, saying there was “no reason given.”
He said it’s not just federal agents being targeted at hotels: “These anarchists are starting to go out in the streets and they are threatening American citizens.”
“They go after the vehicles of anyone they think that is even associated with ICE and sometimes American citizens wake up to find their vehicle tires slashed, damaged and/or vandalized.”
As WorldNetDaily previously reported Jan. 6, a Hampton Inn in Lakeville, Minnesota, was continuing to forbid federal ICE and DHS agents from staying at its hotel despite apologies Monday from Hilton management that the ban violated its policy of being “a welcoming place for all,” and now Hilton has removed the hotel from its corporate systems.
