Rolling Stone reported that a Republican candidate for Congress was “happily boasting about having a copy of Adolf Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf.’”
And it quickly got fixed by readers online who pointed out that the report neglected to mention that the candidate, Brandon Herrera, known also as The AK Guy, was making fun of it.
And making fun of Hitler.
“Have you actually read this book? It’s dog s—” he explained as others on the talk show were laughing uproariously. “It sucks.”

Rolling Stone, in fact posted, “A Texas GOP candidate has drawn scrutiny after video surfaced of him happily boasting about having a copy of Adolf Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf.’”
Readers jumped in, with, “The Rolling Stone fails to mention that the person in question, Brandon Herrera, mocked the book and its contents at length when he showed it off, [c]alling it ‘dog s—,’ ‘schizo’ and ‘bad.’ He in no way endorsed the book or supported its contents.”
Funny how you guys completely ignore there whole nearly 7 minutes where Brandon Herrera and the other co-hosts made fun of Mein Kampf and Hitler.
They ridiculed it’s poor writing quality, disorganized style, and overall absurdity, calling it things like “dog shit,” “so schizo,”… pic.twitter.com/qHnGVDICDz

A report at Not the Bee said, “Rolling Stone literally wants their audience to think he’s a Nazi, and if Elon Musk hadn’t bought Twitter so we can correct their nonsense, that would have been the official narrative.”
The report noted the mockery apparently was from 2024, and it added, “Herrera and the other men on that 2024 podcast loved Dorothy. They made fun of Hitler. But Rolling Stone wants you to believe that Herrera is a Nazi. The Democrats also launched an attack where Herrera and a friend did a parody Nazi march.”
On social media, a commenter said, “They didn’t ignore it, friend. They left it out intentionally.”
