Tim Walz Is Exposed by More Fraud As the Minnesota House Votes to Completely Eradicate Corrupted Program – RedState

In what is proving to be a Gordian knot that leaves currency ink all over you as you try to untangle the mess, Minnesota’s fraud issues continue to evolve. The sheer amount of graft that is being exposed in just this one state is enough to make you dizzy; extrapolate this across 49 other states, and your brain pan will overflow with the waterfall of digits as witnessed in The Matrix films.

In what is only the latest example, the Minnesota State House has just voted to entirely remove an assistance program — the Minnesota Housing Stabilization Services (MHSS) — from the state statutes. So rampant were the problems that the House voted unanimously to expunge this program completely from the legal rolls. Passage in the state Senate is expected, as that body was drawing up its own legislation to achieve the same end.

Looking into this program alone, we begin to see the subterranean levels of fraud that have been allowed to metastasize in the realm of Tim Walz. There is every indication this was operating not just under his watch, but the theft had flourished, at least because of a lack of watchful oversight.

It was last spring when local affiliate KARE Channel 11 News began exposing the fraud and waste in this program. As a result of this light being cast, the cockroaches soon scurried, and the program ceased making payouts by Halloween. It was a move that needed to happen. Once sober minds began looking into MHSS, it was exposed as a grift mill. Imagine setting up a housing program and having it turn into one of those homes seen on the television program “Hoarders” almost immediately.

This is the very type of localized scam that has the Walz fingerprints all over it. Established less than six years ago, MHSS was set up to aid seniors and folks with disabilities in retaining their residences or finding new housing. The initial expected costs were to be in the $2.5-3 million range. Yet in four years’ time, that program ballooned north of $100 million. How this transpires without any government oversight says everything about the permissive atmosphere fraudsters saw in this state.

In one example of the fertile ground for scammers Minnesota had become, two men from Philadelphia were popped when it was discovered they had come in to set up businesses expressly to exploit this particular government program. Walz and his fiefdom cannot toss this onto the feds’ laps to elude responsibility; this was a Minnesota-created and state-run operation.

The governor looks complicit in his actions over the past few weeks. He was just seated before Congress to answer for these very examples of fraud that are turning up like maggots when you pull up the carpet in an abattoir. Walz was a stammering mess when faced with questions in front of the microphone, and was grilled so hard that, had he been a ribeye, any steakhouse patron would have sent the plate back to the kitchen for a fresh cut.

Then, in another move meant to clear his name but that made him look all the more culpable, Walz put forth what he called a comprehensive anti-fraud package to address the billions of taxpayer dollars being vacuumed up in his state. He set this up just a few weeks ago. In a press conference, Walz said:

“Any dollar of state money, especially those being used for programs to enhance people’s lives, if that goes to the wrong place, is misspent, or in the case of this, criminals are stealing it, we need to do everything possible to prosecute that.”

This is nothing more than Walz posturing in front of the barn door that he just closed; meanwhile, all the Brahmas and Holsteins have already disappeared over the horizon. That he called this presser the day after the federal government shut off the spigot to Minnesota’s Medicaid programs was just another dose of “Look, I’m doing something” desperation.

This bill, which the state house passed, comes from that Walz package, despite the program being shuttered months ago. This vote basically erased the bill entirely from the books and prevents it from being reconstituted. Any effort at the same type of relief for those legitimate recipients will require a completely new bill to be crafted.

The level of fraud seen just from this snow-bound state tells us everything that will be needed from the new Fraud Task Force effort set up by President Trump to address this issue of scamming taking place nationwide. JD Vance will chair this team, but I would dare say he runs the risk of looking like Kamala Harris in the end, but for polar opposite reasons.

In contrast to her abject lack of effort on illegal immigration after she was appointed to More Than the Border Czar, Vance is facing a converse problem in that it seems to require Herculean tasks to have measurable accomplishments realized. He could have remarkable levels of success fighting back on the fraud, but the scope of this nationwide scandal is such that recognizing the positive results will be tougher to come by.
