Amid reports of the loss of a jet fighter, and maybe more, to Iranian Islamics in their war against the United States and Israel over their nuclear threat ambitions, President Donald Trump on Saturday reminded the regime of his deadline.

“Remember when I gave Iran ten days to MAKE A DEAL or OPEN UP THE HORMUZ STRAIT. Time is running out – 48 hours before all Hell will reign (sic) down on them. Glory be to GOD! President DONALD J. TRUMP,” he posted on social media.

The reminder about Trump’s April 6 (Monday) deadline for peace comes just a day after the Iranians apparently shot down a U.S. F-15 fighter jet, with one pilot rescued and a search under way for a second.

A report at the Washington Examiner said Trump first had set a 48-hour deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which he jokingly called the Strait of Trump, the weekend of March 21.

He then turned that into a 10-day warning with the deadline April 6.

Trump often has discussed talks with Iranians, although who specifically remains in control of the Islamic regime appears to be in doubt.

Just days ago, he said, “Talks are ongoing and, despite erroneous statements to the contrary by the Fake News Media, and others, they are going very well.”

His commitment was to pause strikes on Iranian nuclear power plant infrastructure to allow time to reach a deal ending the hostilities which were launched as Operation Epic Fury by Israel and the United States to assure the world it no longer would face the threat of nuclear annihilation from Iranian nuclear missiles.

Trump said at the time Iranians asked for a week and he allowed 10 days. Various Iranian officials accessed by different media outlets have denied there are talks going on.

Key to the current deadline is Iran’s work to close of the Strait of Hormuz, through which much of the world’s oil supplies travel.

That chokehold by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is spooking oil markets around the globe.

If the deadline lapses without results, reports have confirmed that Trump has said he is willing to resume bombing.

Iran has allowed ships from countries it considers “friendly,” such as China, Russia, India and Pakistan, to traverse the Strait of Hormuz, and even a French ship.

Trump has described the Iranian institutions: “Their navy is gone. Their air force is gone. Their missiles are just about used up or beaten. Taken together, these actions will cripple Iran’s military, crush their ability to support terrorist proxies and deny them the ability to build a nuclear bomb.”

Thirteen service members in the U.S. miliary have been killed in the conflict, and several hundred wounded.

Two rescue helicopters hunting for the missing F-15 Weapons Systems Officer were damage by enemy fire, reports confirmed.

Also, there are reports a second fighter jet, an A10Warthog, was down near the Strait after coming under enemy fire but details were scant.
