The U.S. Department of Justice sued the state of Minnesota on Monday for its social agenda to install boys on girls’ sports teams and in their locker rooms and showers.
The move is the latest in the war between the common sense of the administration of President Donald Trump, which understands that men and women are not the same, and the leftist political ideologies based on the fantasy that boys can become girls and such.
The case charges the Minnesota Department of Education and the Minnesota State High School League are in violation of federal law – Title IX – because they are allowing boys who call themselves girls to compete on girls teams.
Attorney General Pam Bondi said the administration is cracking down.
“Today the Justice Department sued the state of Minnesota for allowing boys to play in girls’ sports and use girls’ locker rooms,” Bondi said in a statement. “This DOJ acknowledges biological reality and we refuse to let high school girls be subjected to this treatment. It’s not only unfair — it’s deeply inappropriate and dangerous.”

The complaint in federal court in Minnesota requests a declaration that the state is in violation of Title IX and an injunction requiring officials to bar boys who identify as transgender from competing in female athletics, according to reports.
A report at the Washington Examiner said, “DOJ officials argue that Minnesota’s policies undermine equal athletic opportunities for girls and expose them to safety and privacy risks. The department also emphasized that the state receives more than $3 billion annually in federal education and health funding, which is contingent on compliance with federal civil rights law.”
Minnesota state officials say they would prefer their own interpretation of the federal law, and already had sued, claiming that their own state human rights law applies to transgender students and supersedes federal directives.
A judge is considering the federal government’s motion to dismiss that claim.
The DOJ already has brought similar allegations against California and Maine.
The core purpose of Title IX is to ensure that both boys and girls have equal educational opportunities. “This includes protecting girls’ equal educational athletic opportunities by recognizing that boys have an inherent biological advantage in sports,” the filing reads, noting male and female athletes have “undeniable physiological differences.”
