U.S. senator claims ICE agents will be ‘shooting and killing’ people at airports * WorldNetDaily * by Bob Unruh

One out-of-touch Democrat senator is claiming that federal law enforcement officers from ICE, being sent to key American airports to help with security, will be ‘dragging parents from children, detaining citizens, brutalizing families, shooting & even killing.”

The fantastic claim comes from U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., on social media.

Agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement were being dispatched to America’s multiple airports Monday to help with security, a job ordinarily performed by officers of the Transportation Security Administration.

The move was under orders from President Donald Trump, who is trying to minimize the injury to America’s travelers from the Democrats’ refusal to vote for funding for the TSA, whose agents have been working without pay for a month. Some have left the agency to pursue salaries in other work.

Trump requested consideration for the public, suggesting ICE agents not wear their masks for this assignment.

He said the agents, often masked so they are not identified, doxxed, threatened and attacked by activists opposing Trump’s agenda to enforce the nation’s border and immigration laws, should be masked when arresting “hardened criminals.”

But not while helping the TSA. He said, “I would greatly appreciate, however, NO MASKS, when helping our Country out of the Democrat caused mess at the airports.

Speaking to reporters at Palm Beach International Airport Monday, Trump said: “The people coming into the airport typically speaking aren’t murderers, killers, drug dealers, etc. There may be a few of them, but there are many people that want to come into the country or that people want to leave the country going to maybe their home country.”

“So I didn’t think it was an appropriate look for an airport. I think it’s a very appropriate look when they’re out on the street trying to find one of the 11,888 murderers that sleepy Joe Biden led into our country!”

The common-sense request made no impact on Blumenthal.

“ICE agents at airports will only aggravate delays & lines – disrupting checks, interrogating travelers, dragging parents from children, detaining citizens, brutalizing families, shooting & killing,” he claimed.

Social media was in reaction mode:

“None of that will happen. But if you think that, then pass DHS funding now.”

And, “Gosh, you could save America from all this hardship and vote to pay TSA agents.”

And, “How utterly dishonest and shameless to have a US senator lie in this way. We all saw the interview. Tom Homan simply talked about ICE agents assisting TSA agents to get travaelrs moving quicker and reduce long lines.”

Blumenthal wasn’t finished, adding, “Brutal, lawless tactics common in communities across the country by masked, unidentified agents, violating basic rights—no way to help TSA or travelers.”

The Gateway Pundit documented, “The Democrats have repeatedly voted to block funding for the Department of Homeland Security. On Friday, Democrats once again blocked funding for the DHS and TSA. Hundreds of TSA agents have quit their jobs after missing a paycheck.”

The report said travelers are in security lines for up to five hours and are missing flights “because of the Democrats.”

Reports say ICE agents were being deployed to at least 14 major airports Monday.

Other social media pointed out Trump was trying to solve a problem Blumenthal, and other Democrats, created.

“For the record. Yes! This is exactly what I voted for.”
