With Somalis in America under scrutiny for scamming the U.S. government for more than $1 billion, journalist Benny Johnson is now exposing the reasons behind the seemingly rampant fraud, including why Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, a native of Somalia, is said to have married her own brother.
Appearing Monday on Newsmax, Johnson told anchor Rob Finnerty: “You asked about Ilhan Omar marrying her brother. That’s horrifying. Being inbred is a very bad thing in Western civilization. It’s not what you want to do. There are horrible genetic results. It can really collapse your gene pool. It’s immoral in our culture.”
“But in Somalian culture,” Johnson continued, “up to 50% of the tribes are inbred. That’s first and second cousin marriages. The coefficient there is one of the highest rates of inter-family marriages in the world. Also some of the highest rates of child brides in the world. One of the highest rates of female genital mutilation on Earth is from Somalia. One of the highest rates of polygamy and tribal warfare and fraud and piracy all from Somalia.
Why did Illhan Omar marry her brother?
Because in Somalia inbreeding is encouraged. It’s part of their culture:

“Who decided this was a good culture to bring here?” Johnson wondered aloud. “My test is the people are the nation. So it’s not like you’re just bringing over a bunch of Americans. You’re bringing over Somalia.”
In October, as WorldNetDaily reported, Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert of Colorado said the Democrat Omar should be immediately investigated, thrown in jail or deported back to Somalia.
“This is someone who absolutely should be investigated. I think she should be sitting in prison or at least sent back to Somalia,” Boebert told Johnson.
Johnson indicated he had heard from top sources at the Department of Homeland Security there is “demonstrable evidence of Ilhan Omar marrying her brother for U.S. citizenship.”
On Monday, concerning the food-aid fraud that took place in Minnesota, Johnson said, “People have lost just how simple this was.”
“Restaurants in Somali neighborhoods in Minneapolis claimed they were feeding people during COVID. Those were ghost meals, those meals never happened. They were able to pocket all the money through a program. It was called the Meals Act, it was passed in 2020. Who was the author of that bill? Ilhan Omar! Ilhan Omar created the vehicle for the mass billions of dollars of fraud in the community.
“And it’s not a coincidence that the vast majority of restaurants had a connection to Ilhan Omar. The people who were now federally indicted for this fraud were close allies of Ilhan – worked on her campaign, donated to her campaign. That’s how she gets $30 million. She writes the program, her friends benefit from it and then they donate to her campaign. Bags of cash. We know they were already funding Muslim terrorism back in Somalia the same way.”
Johnson said he believes America is currently “full” when it comes to immigrants, and noted: “I would like to see net zero immigration for the rest of my life. We did this in [the] 1920s when Calvin Coolidge said there’s just too much.
“We need a cooling off period because the nation is splintering, and I think that’s happening right now. The Somali problem in Minneapolis proves it.”
Just last week, as WorldNetDaily reported, President Donald Trump closed his final Cabinet meeting of the year with a ferocious message to Somali immigrants including Omar who “complain and do nothing but bitch.”
“I don’t want ’em in our country, I’ll be honest with you,” Trump said of the immigrants who have penetrated Minnesota in large numbers.
“Somebody will say, ‘Oh that’s not politically correct.’ I don’t care. I don’t want ’em in our country. Their country’s no good for a reason. Their country stinks. … I could say that about other countries too.”
Trump said America is on the brink of disaster if the trend continues.
“You know, our country’s at a tipping point. We could go bad,” he explained.
“We could go one way or the other. We’re gonna go the wrong way if we keep taking in garbage to our country. Ilhan Omar is garbage. She’s garbage. Her friends are garbage.”

The president continued: “These aren’t people that say, ‘Let’s go, come on let’s make this place great.’ These are people that do nothing but complain. And from where they came from, they got nothing.
“You know, if they came from paradise, and they said this isn’t paradise, but when they come from hell, and they complain and do nothing but bitch, we don’t want ’em in our country. Let ’em go back to where they came from and fix it.”
Omar on Sunday responded to Trump’s “garbage” remark, saying: “It is disgusting that Trump’s hateful words of calling Somali Americans ‘garbage’ have continued to go unchecked by members of the Republican Party.”
