JD Vance joked with a election-eve rally crowd Monday in Rome, New York, as he told a story about his 4-year-old daughter, saying, “I have apparently raised a Democrat.”
The vice president explained that every year his family donates to the Toys for Tots drive before Christmas.
“I’d like you to identify a couple toys you could donate,” Vance said he told his little girl.
“So,” he continued, “she brings me two of her brother’s toys. And I realized, ladies and gentlemen, despite my best efforts, I apparently have raised a Democrat.”
